The second individual and team shooting championship for media representatives of the Chuvashia Republic took place in Cheboksary. The sporting event, timed to coincide with World Television Day, was organized by the press service of the Russian National Guard Directorate for the Chuvashia Republic – Chuvashia, with the support of the Chuvashia Republic Shooting and Clay Pigeon Federation.

Competitors were welcomed by Police Colonel Elena Guseva, Assistant Head of the Regional Directorate of the Russian National Guard for Media Relations, and Valery Ivanov, President of the Chuvashia Republic Shooting and Clay Pigeon Federation. The chief judge of the competition was Alexander Artashin, a retired Russian National Guard officer and instructor at the "VOIN" Center for the Development of Military-Sports Training and Patriotic Education of Youth.

This year's competition brought together nine teams representing television companies, online and print media outlets, and students and faculty from the Faculty of Russian and Chuvash Philology and Journalism at the I.N. A firearms safety briefing for the participants was conducted by Yuri Antonov, a marksmanship instructor at the Vityaz Sporting Shooting Club and a USSR Master of Sports in military-sports all-around.

According to the competition rules, after three practice shots, participants were required to hit a target located 25 meters away with ten bullets from a Saiga-09 semi-automatic carbine. Men shot from a standing position, while women fired from a sitting position, using an elbow rest.

After a tough competition, the team gold medal went to the editorial office of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Chuvashia for the second year in a row. They scored a total of 262 points out of a possible 300. The silver cup went to the team from the Khypar publishing house, and the bronze to the team from the Sovetskaya Chuvashia newspaper.
